Calculating an ROI for Ergonomics

Why does one ergonomics project get funded over another? The deciding factor lies in the cost-benefit analysis. During this webinar, you’ll learn the common types of information that are available to help you justify your improvements and the pros, cons, and applicability of each.

In addition to the traditional approaches, VelocityEHS certified experts will introduce the use of a cost-justification estimator to efficiently and effectively project the financial benefit. They will also demonstrate the application of different data sources in developing a cost-benefit analysis. Participants will be prepared to apply the tool and understand the inputs and outputs.

Participants will be able to:

• Describe up to 5 different methods of cost-justifying an ergonomics improvement
• Explain at least one pro and con of each cost-justification method
• Select the most appropriate justification method based on their project characteristics and available data

While the methods and examples discussed are specific to ergonomics, the concepts could apply to most safety improvement efforts.
